Affiliated with CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 1994, Therapet is a volunteer organization using animals in therapeutic settings to promote health, hope and healing.  Trained animals are used by therapists in goal directed treatment sessions, as a tool to achieve the best patient outcomes including better physical, social and cognitive performance.  For more information, visit their website at

Stroke Support Group

CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital has played an integral part in the formation and growth of the Community Stroke Support Group.  Formed in 2002, the group has grown to more than 40 members, consisting of stroke survivors and caregivers, healthcare professionals and guests to exchange ideas, experiences and information for the purpose of extending and enriching lives.  The group meets on a monthly basis and is free of charge. Community Health Needs Assessment 

CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital is a joint venture between CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System and HealthSouth, one of the nation’s leading rehabilitation services provider. 

All non-profit hospitals are required by law to produce a "Community Health Needs Assessment" (CHNA) and "Implementation Strategy" (IS) every three years. This report gives us a community health profile of Cherokee, Smith, and Wood Counties. This report describes how we plan to address the community health needs identified by the process.
