Sharla Anderson

Sharla Anderson, MPH

Chief Executive Officer

Sharla has more than 30 years of healthcare experience and has served as CEO of Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 1998. She promotes an environment of clinical excellence and her inspiration comes from working with a dynamic team that centers their attention on getting every patient back to their greatest level of independence. Sharla holds a bachelor’s degree in public health from the University of Oklahoma.  She also earned a master’s degree in public health administration with an emphasis in healthcare administration from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Bradley Merritt

Bradley Merritt, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Merritt received his medical degree in 1993 from the University of California at Irvine.  He completed an internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  Dr. Merritt is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as the Association of Academic Physiatrists, Texas Medical Association and Smith County Medical Association.

Bradley Merritt, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Vicki Crozier

Vicki Crozier, BSN, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Vicki currently serves as the chief nursing officer. She joined Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital in 2006 and has served in leadership positions in our home health and care management departments. She has more than 20 years of nursing experience in areas of acute care, critical care, home health care and case management. Vicki and her team strive to deliver quality care to patients and their families. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ball State University.
Larissa Dews

Larissa Dews, RHIA

HIMS Director

Larissa joined Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital in 1995 and serves as the HIMS director and hospital HIPAA officer.  In addition, she is one of the regional HIMS directors and a member of the HealthSouth corporate HIMS leadership board. Larissa has worked in health information management services (HIMS) for more than 20 years. She helps to educate physician and clinical staff members regarding documentation compliance with various regulatory standards.  Larissa’s departmental team is responsible for managing the organization and flow of patients’ health information for continuity of care and is committed to protecting its privacy. She graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in medical record administration.
Sandra Edwards

Sandra Edwards, MS, RD, LD

Nutrition Services Director/Dietitian

Sandra joined HealthSouth in 1999 as both the director of nutrition services and the hospital’s dietitian.  She has more than 25 years experience in clinical dietetics and food management.  She serves on HealthSouth’s National Advisory Board, the National Kitchen Design and Equipment Committee and is the National Nutrition Campaign Co-Chair.  She received the 2012 “Health Living Champion” award and serves as the regional nutrition services representative.  Sandra and her staff strive daily to provide excellence in their meals with a large selective menu and personally tailored menus to fit patient needs. Sandra is a member of the East Texas, Texas and national chapters of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has a master’s degree in nutrition management.
Bonnie Maywhort

Bonnie Maywhort, MA, PT

Director, Therapy Operations

Bonnie has been the director of therapy operations at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since its opening in 1993 and has helped lead her team to national recognition as a leader in positive patient outcomes through the use of state-of-the-art technology and a highly educated group of therapists.  After serving as a physical therapist in the United States Navy, Bonnie worked in home health and acute care until 1986 when she started working in inpatient rehabilitation. Bonnie graduated with a bachelor’s degree from California State University at Long Beach and earned a master’s degree in human resources management from Pepperdine University.
Chad McNeil

Chad McNeil, M.D.

Program Director, Pain Management

Dr. McNeil earned his medical degree from the University of Utah Health Sciences Center.  He completed his residency in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Utah Hospital.  Dr. McNeil’s training has prepared him to help those who have had major lifestyle changes due to stroke, neurologic disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, or traumatic injuries.  His specific interests include sports medicine, back and neck pain, nerve testing, and spasticity.  Dr. McNeil is affiliated with Azalea Orthopedics in Tyler, Texas.

Dr. Chad McNeil is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Kevin Paul

Kevin Paul, M.D.

Neurosciences Program Director

Dr. Paul received his medical degree in 1997 from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.  He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  Dr. Paul is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the International Spine Intervention Society.

 

Dr. Kevin Paul is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Joy Shea

Joy Shea, MS, CCC-SLP

Therapy Manager

Joy has been with Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 1995. She served as the senior speech-language pathologist since 1996, and has been the therapy manager since 2011. Joy is certified in VitalStim Therapy and Interactive Metronome.  She enjoys the challenge of providing excellent clinical service, mentoring students and young clinicians, and creating a supportive and collaborative environment for all staff. Joy received her bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from Indiana State University in 1986 and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Texas in Dallas in 1991.
Janelle Sheffield

Janelle Sheffield, Pharm.D

Director, Pharmacy

Janelle joined Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital in 2007. She has spent the majority of her career in an acute care hospital setting caring for patients of all ages. Janelle believes that all individuals, customers and colleagues alike, deserve the best pharmaceutical care she can offer.  A strong believer in team work, Janelle assists whenever she is able.  Her colleagues have awarded her the HealthSouth Allied Health Employee of the Year award on two separate occasions. Janelle obtained her pharmacy doctorate from the University of Arizona in 1998.
Marianna Svesko

Marianna Svesko

Director of Marketing Operations

Marianna joined the Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital team in December of 2013 as the director of marketing operations. She has over eleven years of experience in sales, operations and leadership specific to healthcare. In her current role she is responsible for the rehab liaison marketing team, as well as admissions and transportation. She is a believer in employee development and utilizes a team approach to build cohesion among departments. Her team is devoted to educating the community about the benefits of inpatient rehabilitation and is passionate about helping patients reach their full potential. Marianna holds a master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in healthcare administration from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Mike Treadway

Chief Financial Officer

Mike has served as CFO at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital since 2001 and has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare administration. Mike and his team are responsible for assuring that the hospital has equipment and supplies to treat the patients. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in business administration from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
